简单句只有一套主谓结构。比如：
The children were laughing.
John wanted a new bicycle.
复杂句一般由连词链接两个含有谓语的句子。
A complex sentence has a main clause and one or more adverbial clauses（状语从句）. Adverbial clauses usually come after the main clause:
Her father died when she was very young
Her father died (main clause)主句
when (subordinating conjunction)连词
she was very young (adverbial clause)时间状语从句
我们把句子变得再复杂一点：
She had a difficult childhood because her father died when she was very young.
She had a difficult childhood (main clause)

为了满足考官希望看到多样性复杂句的审美，我们要掌握一些连接词。在AEIS议论文中经常会问到你对某个观点是赞同还是反对态度等等。
在主体段解释你观点成立的原因时，表示因果、转折、条件、让步关系的连接词是非常好用的。
根据前面的句式分析，我们来看两个简单句升级成复杂句的练习。
题目：是否认同上大学之前先工作几年。观点：赞同
