You were alone at home when the doorbell rang. You opened the door without checking whoit was. Suddenly, a man dashed into your house.

我们先看一看题目，门铃响的时候，你一个人在家。你没问清是谁就把门打开了。突然，一个男人冲进了你的房子。
这个题目的关键点是，你没有检查是谁就直接开门，他开了门之后呢，一个人就闯进了你的家里面。因此，突破点在于你开门前没有检查对方是谁——这样你就可以把这个人设定为陌生人。如果你设定为熟悉的人，例如家人，那么你的文章就无法展开。至于时间，题目中并没有提及，所以你可以自己决定。
接下来就应该在故事中详细描述你如何应对陌生人。再来看看这个故事的设定，你独自在家的时候有陌生人闯进来，那么这个故事情节可能90%都会往犯罪方向去发展啊，例如是小偷。但是你如果去写这类型的题材，尽管内容是合理的，老师也不会扣分，但你的题材肯定就会落入那种比较平庸、比较乏味的那种。有可能改卷老师改100100篇作文，当中95%的学生都写的是家里进贼了，家里进强盗了。所以这个时候我们就要想，我们如何让老师眼前一亮呢？
可以结合自己的生活常识。例如还有一类人，那就是推销人员，推销人员也希望你在家，然后他按门铃开门，他能够进来跟你推销他的产品。推销人员进来之后，这个故事怎么展开呢？也尽量不要写他推销的东西刚好是我喜欢的，于是我就付钱买了，然后happy ending。如果这么去写的话，我们的故事也无法展开。
你可以换个思路，例如，一个推销员冒然闯进来，我自始至终是处于很懵的状态，一直想把他赶出去，但是我赶不出去。这样矛盾就凸显出来了。接下来就是如何让他离开，或者说我如何说拒绝他，或者是我没办法拒绝他……但是最后会有一个反转出现，比如说家人赶回来了，把这个推销人员赶走。这就是一个大致的思路。

The doorbell rang when I was alone at home. I jumped out ofmy seat, pulled open my bedroom door and toredown the stairs tothe living room. Without looking through the peep-hole, I unfastenedthe latch and pulled open the door. "Hi ... " myenthusiasm turned toshockwhen a stranger rushed into my house.
A cold feeling washed over me. I had a sudden image ofmyself gagged and bound to a chair while the man robbed my house.However, the man squatted on the floor and began opening a smallcardboard box. Taking out a small round gadget about half the size ofa basketball with a flat base, he placed it on the floor. He stood upand waved a small remote control in front of me. "This is the coolestinvention you have ever seen!" he said with flourish.
Pressing a button on his remote control, the silver gadgetwith a bright blue star on one side began moving in a fluid motiontowards my sofa using its half hidden wheels. The man pressedanother button and it jerked to a stop. Then the man spreadout his arms by his side. "Ta dah !" he said with gusto.
I stared at him in bewilderment. He held the gadget in bothhands and presented it to me as though he was giving me an award."Just for a low fee of four hundred and twenty dollars," he said with asmile.
"I. .. I. .. " I stuttered. I was too shocked to speak properly.
The man was still beaming at meand I was still standingthere in shock when my mother burst into the house. She had seenthe open door and thought that something untoward had happenedto me. Seeing my mother, the man placed the gadget on the floorand proceeded to turn it on again. As he fiddled with the remotecontrol, he kept up an endless monologue on the benefits of usingthe gadget. Annoyed, my mother ordered the man to leave thehouse. She picked up the box and tossed it out of the house.Irritated, the man grabbed the gadget and stormed out of the house.
"You don't know what you're missing!" he hissedbefore storming off.
I received a stern warning from my mother for opening thedoor to a stranger. She nagged about the chance of being robbed andhurt. I did not say a word in retaliation. I knew that I was wrong. Ishould have looked through the peep hole before opening the door.
